A person's opinion or attitude on a particular subject, especially in a debate.

“He takes the position that remote work should remain optional, not mandatory.”
In Part 4, look for signal words like 'takes the position that' to quickly find a speaker's core opinion. Questions may ask you to distinguish the writer's position from a position they are only describing in order to argue against it.
